The Unexpected Ally or When Princess Ruto Goes Nuts!!

By: Neo X2

Author's note: I don't own any Zelda characters, so don't sue me! Now, I feel I should tell you that for this story to make sense, Link DID NOT go back in time to his childhood after he beat Ganon in Ocrania Of Time. Now as they say, ON WITH THE SHOW!

Chapter One: The Confrontation

To start the adventure off we will start the story at Zora's Domain, where we come to a tender, but now common scene in the Domain.

"No!"

"Aww. Are you afraid of me?"

"Yeah!"

"C'mon, I  just want a little one."

"N-o, That spells NO Ruto!"

"C'mon  Link, I  don't bite."

"I don't care , your freaking me out!!"

"COOOOMMMME  ON Link. One kiss won't hurt you."

"No means no, ya nut!!"

"The more you resist, the sweeter it'll be for me."

Oh man, Link thought to himself. Every time I come her she goes on the war path trying to get a kiss. I can't believe she doesn't get it though her head I'm in love with Zelda!

"Link!" Ruto whined, "you being a little difficult!"

"That's because  you scare the crap out of me!!"

Little did Ruto and Link know that during their little game of "psycho cat and mouse" that a dark form was watching them while Ruto chased Link around Zora's Fountain.  It stood on one of the pillars, amused at  Ruto's persistence and Link's fighting to get away from her.

"Ruto, I'm warning you, get away from me!!" Link yelled.

"Or what?" she said, not worried at all.

Link attempted to get past her, but she grabbed him and pinned him on the pillar the dark thing stood on, although neither of them noticed it.

"Mmmmm, pucker up honey," Ruto said seductively.
"Ya know Link, I expected more of a fight from the Hero of Time than what I just saw," said the dark creature above them.

Link and Ruto both looked up and saw the thing staring at them from on top of the pillar. "I mean like come on, she's just a little girl. Look at her, she so much smaller than you, muscle wise. She shouldn't be able ta pin you like that."

"Yeah well, she A LOT stronger than she looks," Link said, getting annoyed.

"Do you mind," said Ruto angrily. "Link and I  just want to be alone."

"Speak for yourself!" Link yelled. He looked up at the thing again. It was really weird. It wore jet black, loose fitting clothing, obviously meant for easy movement in combat. He saw a sword strapped to its back, Link didn't know what kind.  Its face was its most intimidating feature, it had glowing red eyes and appeared to have no nose. When it talked he saw a mouth full of pointy teeth in perfect rows along with a pair of large fangs where the eyeteeth would be. A set of two large horns came out of his forehead and went straight up, which completed his devilish appearance.

"Your really pathetic Ruto, can't you see Link doesn't like you," It said.

Ruto got an angry look on her face and launched a ball of energy at it (she is a sage, Sherlock). The top of the pillar disintegrated and there was no sign of the thing.

Ruto smiled then turned back to Link and said, "Now where were we?"

She leaned in to kiss him again when the voice of the thing cut in again. "You really should work on your aim Ruto."

She let go of Link and looked for that creature, determined to finish it off. It was on the other pillar opposite the other one. "Ok, who or what are you!?" she demanded.

The thing chuckled to it self, then said, "My name is Czar Kahn. I have come to see the fabled hero who defeated Ganon, but my searched yielded a man who can't even shake off one girl."

"Hey!" Link yelled angrily, "If I can beat Ganon I can beat you!"

"Is that a challenge, Hero?" Czar Kahn asked, amused.

"You bet it is!" Link yelled.

Kahn chuckled and jumped down from the pillar and took out his sword. Link took out his sword and mirror shield and took up a defensive position. Link sized up his opponent. Kahn looked fast and his sword was longer than his Biggoron sword, but was built much lighter and was made of a material that was completely black. It had a slight curve in it, like a samurai sword

They walked to the platform where Jabu-Jabu used to sleep. They stared right in to each others eyes.

"Go Link!" Ruto yelled.

"Shut up!!" Link and Czar both yelled.

"We fight to first blood," Link said.

"Agreed," Czar said.
Then they ran at each other ready to fight.

Chapter Two: The Fight

Link and Czar were locked in combat. Link was using all the moves he new but Czar blocked ever blow perfectly. High, low, left, right, Czar blocked them all with inhuman speed and power. Czar shot his leg out and kicked Link square in the chest which sent him flying. Link got up only to see Czar about a meter from him. Link got up quickly and tried to think of plan, and an idea came to him. Link faked a high swing and jabbed Kahn in the shoulder. A weird magma orange fluid drip out of the wound, Czar touched the fluid and said, "Blood has been drawn, you win Link. I'll see you again." And he disappeared into thin air.

"That was great Link!" Ruto yelled.

Link, rather than put up with her more than necessary, took out a deku nut and tossed it. He ran away while she was stunned.

Great, Link thought to himself while he was walking down Zora's River, now there's an evil creature running on the loose in Hyrule, and Ruto's advances are getting more aggressive. Could this day get any worse.

"I doubt it," a familiar voice said.

Link turned around quickly and saw Czar Kahn leaning against a rock. Link took out his sword and shield, but Kahn waved his hand and said, "No need for that. I came here to fight you...once, and you beat me, so I  no longer have any quarrel with you. Truce?" Czar said extending his black gloved hand. Link reluctantly accepted and shook his hand.

"I got to admit I guess I had you judged wrong," Link said. "But why are you are you still here? I mean you must have a home to go to or something."

Kahn scratched the back of his head and said, "Um.... Yeah, well about that......Uh, I was exiled from the Evil Realm, so I don't really have any where to go, ah heh heh."

"Why were you exiled?" Link asked, very confused.

"Uh....well, they told me  I'm too nice, to be honest with you."

"Your kidding, right. A big bad demon got kicked out of the Evil Realm for being to nice!! That is the weirdest thing I have ever heard of," Link said, barely holding back a fit of laughter.

"Will you help me or not!?" Czar asked angrily.

"All right, ok, you can come stay in Kakariko Village with me. I have a house there."

"All right, sounds fine to me," Czar said.

Then a thought hit Link. "I think people would notice a seven foot tall demon walking around though. Anything you can do about that?"

"I am a supernatural being, remember?" Czar said. There was a flash and in Czar's place stood a young man with blonde, short, bristly hair, sun glasses, gauntlets on his arms similar to Link's and wearing black pants, a black muscle shirt and jacket.

"Well, that takes care of that," Link said. "Now before we go to my house, I have to pay a visit to my sweetheart, Zelda."

Chapter Three: Enter the Princess

Link and Kahn stood in front of the castle gates by the guard. Then a thought hit Kahn. "Link, I can't go in there calling myself 'Kahn' because Ruto could trace it back to me and expose me as a demon! I want to keep a low profile."

"Yeah," Link said, "We need to think of a name for you."

"Well, I've always like the way 'Kint' sounds."

"What kind of name is that?" Link asked.

"It was the name of my predecessor. He was the caretaker of the dragons in the Evil Realm."

"Oh, well then 'Kint' it is then," said Link

Link and Kint/Kahn stood in the court yard where Link and Zelda first met. "Uh, Link why isn't she here?" Kahn/Kint asked, they were the only ones there.

"She'll be here in a minute," Link said.

"So what's the deal with Ruto. I mean, she was all over you, guy. You really should do something about that," Kint said.

"It's not that simple," Link said sadly, "I'm engaged to her, sort of."

"WHAT!?"

"When I was on my quest I needed her Spiritual Stone of Water. She said she would only give it to me if I married her. I just took it thinking she was joking, but I guess she wasn't."

"She looked downright insane to me," Kahn said.

"She's a princess, and she's really spoiled so she's used to having things handed to her on a platter. I figure she just thinks I another one of her possessions. It is really annoying , especially since I'm in love with Zelda."

"Aww, that's sweet Link," a girl's voice said.

Link and Kint turned around and saw Zelda walking towards them. She wore her usual royal dress, and a large mischievous grin. She walked up to Link casually and they kissed.

"Uh, there are other people here," Kint said, a little disturbed.

"Um, who's your friend Link" Zelda asked, a little surprised to see someone else in there 'private spot'.

"That's Kint. I met him the other day. Um....he's a little down on his luck. Uh....his wife kicked him out of the house for not making enough money," Link said, a little unsurely.

Zelda looked at the man dressed head to toe in black and asked, "Is that true?"

"Uh, yeah," Kint said. "She has really high expectations of people. I don't know why I married her, I don't like her that much."

"Fair enough," Zelda said. "Now, shall we take care of our wedding plans, honey."

"Certainly," Link said.

"What do I do while your busy, are you just going to let me wander around your castle princess?" Kint yelled.

"Oh yeah you," Zelda said, as if he were a pest. "You can explore the castle grounds if you want."

"Oh, perfect," Kint said sarcastically.

"I'll be back in a while, don't worry man," Link said reassuringly. Link and Zelda walked out of the courtyard leaving Kint/Kahn by himself.

Well, I might as well practice my swordsmanship, Kint thought to himself. He took out his long black sword and started doing a series of slashes and thrusts when a voice interrupted him, a woman's voice, "Have you seen Link?"

Kint/Kahn turned around and saw Princess Ruto standing at the entrance to the court yard. Not knowing what to do, he said the first thing that came to mind, "He's not here now, uh......yeah."

"Well can you tell me where to find him then?" Ruto asked, obviously getting mad.

Chapter Four:  Trouble's Coming

"At least she doesn't recognize me," Kint/Kahn thought to himself. "Uh, I don't know where he is at the moment," he said.

Ruto eyed him dangerously and said, "Fine, I'll find him myself." She turned back the way she came and disappeared around a corner.

"I gotta tell Link," Kint said to himself and headed for the direction he had last seen Link and Zelda go.

"I think the flowers are too much," Link said.

"I think they're nice," Zelda said.

Just then Kint ran into the door and said, "I am I glad I found you Link, uh can I have a word?"

"Sure," Link said. He stepped out side the room with Kint.

"Ruto is here!!" Kint yelled, out of breath.

"What!" Link yelled.

"Everything OK out there you two?" Impa asked, while she was cutting some paper.

"Uh, yeah," Link said, and he lowered his voice to a whisper, "Is she looking for me?"

"Who else would she be looking for!?" Kint whispered angrily.

"Ok, I'm going to find her and settle this once and for all," Link said.

"Don't do anything rash, man," Kint said.

"I won't, and could you keep Zelda and Impa while I'm gone," Link said, already running.

"What do I talk to a Princess about!?"

"I don't care!" Link yelled, disappearing around a corner.

Kint turned awkwardly to Impa and Zelda and said, "So, uh... how you two doing....heh .....heh?"

Chapter Five: Uh OH

Link ran around a corner, looked behind him and kept running. When he went around another corner a bluish hand grabbed him and pinned him on a wall.

"So there you are," Ruto said evilly. And, wasting no time, she kissed Link as passionately as she could, considering how much he was squirming. Link twisted his head and broke away from her and ran as fast as he could but Ruto caught up with him and grabbed him again.

"When will you get it through your head I LOVE ZELDA!!!" Link screamed in Ruto's face.

"If you love her, why did you get engaged to me first, sweety?" Ruto replied.

"I didn't know that stone was your 'engagement ring'," Link said, struggling to get away.

"Oh yeah, I'm sure. I only told you it was," she said sarcastically. Link couldn't stand being that close to her. He punched her square in the stomach, and she lurched and let Link go. He backed up a couple steps and then a voice behind him said, "We'll take care of this."

Kint, Zelda, and Impa stood at the entrance to the courtyard and Zelda said, "No one kisses my man and gets away with it!"

"Bring it on girly girl," Ruto yelled.

They took menacing steps toward each other, but Kint stepped between them saying, "I can handle this, you all go and prepare for your wedding".

"Kint!' Zelda yelled, "She's a sage, she'll kill you without having to try."

"I doubt that's the case," Kint said confidently.

"Well come on then, dark man," Ruto said menacingly.

Chapter Six: That Was Unexpected

Ruto used her power to make a sword appear out of thin air. Kint took out his long black one, took off his sunglasses and jacket.

"We can't just leave him to fight her," Impa said.

"If anyone can handle it, it's him," Link said, thoughtfully.

"How?" Zelda demanded. "He just a swordsman, she is a sage."

"Just watch," Link said.

Ruto made the first move. She ran at Kint with her sword, but when she went to slash he disappeared. She turned around and saw a fist filling up her view. WHAM!  Ruto was on her back, clutching a bloody nose, while Kint swaggered up to her casually. When he was close enough she kicked him in the chin, but that harsh blow didn't phase him at all. He just looked at her, as she charged up some energy. A blast that looked like an icicle flew at Kint but he raised his sword and halved the ice spike.

"Is that all you got, ya fish," Kint yelled.

"No," Ruto said, smirking. She raised her hands and a tidal wave appeared out of the ground and engulfed Kint, and then froze rock solid. She tuned to the onlookers behind her and said, "Anyone else!"

"Ruto, that was a lame excuse for an attack," Kint's voice said behind her. Ruto whirled around and saw Kint standing beside the huge block of ice. Then his voice went to his demon type and said cooly. "While it was, lame I'm getting a little fed up with this fight".

A bolt of lightning came out of nowhere and stuck Kint.

"Oh here we go!" Link said, obviously excited.

"What is it?" Zelda and Impa asked.

Chapter Seven:  LET'S ROCK THIS JOINT!!!

After the lightening subsided Czar Kahn stood In Kint's place. Needless to say Zelda, Impa, and Ruto were all surprised.

"Well," Kahn said to Ruto in his icy cold voice, "This place is to small  for a real fight." FLASH! Everyone found themselves out in Hyrule field.

"Whoa, how did we get out here?" Zelda asked, alarmed.

"Kint is actually a demon  named Czar Kahn. He came here to fight me and I won, so he tags along with me now I guess. He teleported us out here," Link said.

Ruto and Kahn looked at each other. Ruto wasn't nervous, she had seen how easily Link had beaten Kahn before. But she didn't expect what would happen next.

Ruto was looking right at Kahn, then he suddenly disappeared. He reappeared and said, "I don't need my sword to take you down." He dropped his sword and took its sheath off his back. Ruto ran at him and began slashing wildly. He either dodged the blows or blocked them with his forearms. Then, with lightning speed he grabbed Ruto by the throat and tossed her over his head, which he immediately followed with a blast of red energy balls. The blasts hit Ruto hard in her side and she groggily got up only to feel Kahn foot hitting her stomach. Kahn's whole attack had only lasted about four seconds. Ruto lifted her head, and saw Zelda cowering behind Link, but she wasn't looking at Ruto. Ruto turned her head and saw Kahn hovering over her, staring at her with his glowing red eyes. He ext6ended a hand and started to charge more red energy. Ruto looked around frantically, for any way out. Then she noticed Link. "Link!" she tought to herself, "I got an idea." Kahn let loose with is energy blast and left a smoking crater where Ruto was.

Link, Zelda and Impa looked horrified, "You didn't need to kill her!!" Link yelled.

"That blast I gave her wasn't enough to kill her," Kahn said.

"Then where is she?" Impa demanded.

"Uh guys, a little help?" Link said, obviously worried.

They all turned around and saw Ruto's arms around Link's chest. Kahn tried to teleport fast enough to get there, but Link and Ruto were already gone.

Kahn raised his arms in the air and let out an inhuman scream that sounded like a creature out of a night mare then pounded his fists into the ground. Impa and Zelda looked shocked as they realized the impossible: Ruto had kidnapped Link.

Well folks, that's part one. I'm already working on part two so have patience.
