Link on Dying

Link on Dying

By: January

Ganon flings me against the wall.

He stands over me, a moment.

I can't feel the blood seeping through my tunic.

I stare up at him, keeping his image clear in my mind

Though all else in fading.

I know I will return.

I have four fairies in my shirt.

It will not be long.

Ganon knows, but he enjoys my brief suffering.

I'm not worried, death is but a sleep.

But why must it hurt so?

I summon my strength and sneer at Ganon.

My hand brushes my tunic.

I am waiting for life to return.

Slowly the world darkens

And I barely hear Ganon's laugh.

It will not be long before I hear Navi calling.
