The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is currently the latest Zelda game released for the Nintendo handhelds, and the first full length original Zelda game for the Gameboy Advance. The story involves the diminutive Minish race, our hero Link, a curious magical talking hat, and a ruthless sorceror named Vaati. When Link finds trouble at the town festival, he is sent on a journey that introduces him to the Minish Cap and begins his adventure in this new Hyrule.
The gameplay mechanics are similar to the previous Zelda games released on the Gameboy color, only with use of the shoulder buttons as action buttons. The graphics of this game are the best of any 2d Zelda game, featuring fluid animation and very colorful environments. The game is rather short (roughly around 8 hours of gameplay), and the storyline does not seem to take itself seriously as it relates in almost no way to any other Zelda game in terms of timeline relevance (if you're into that sort of thing), but that does not stop it from being a fun addition to the Zelda series and one of the best games available on the Gameboy Advance.
